Behind the Painting
Prospect Park on Memorial Day weekend and every corner of grass is full of bikes and blankets and baskets and ballgames and bulldogs. Warm sun, cool breeze, first hint of summer.
You can't remain in that moment, but you can try to put it down on paper, wash it with watercolor or sketch it out in pens and markers.
On a low hill under a shady tree, a couple artists are just trying to paint some people before the light fades.
